Hi,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your emails and letters.  I really appreciate your advice and support.

I truly love animals.  I have spent years rescuing cats, dogs, raccoons, birds, squirrels, etc.  But most of the animals in need have been feral (wild) cats.  There are estimated 10,000 homeless cats in the Halifax region alone.  Many of these animals die within their first year of life.  And if they're lucky, only live 3 or 4 years filled with loneliness, fear, starvation, and cruelty.  If you are somehow able to rescue any of these animals and take them to the SPCA, a lot of these animals will be euthanized as they do not have the space or the financial resources.    

I want to open a shelter where no healthy animal is ever put down because it is not wanted.  There are always people who would want and love these animals.  I have had a 100% success rate in finding loving homes for every animal that I have rescued.  I will call it "Molly's Rescue" as Molly was the very first one that I rescued many years ago, and the only one of all the ones I rescued that I personally adopted.
